The most re-occurring theme this quarter: the Cavaliers build up in what looks to be an insurmountable lead, the Lakers rally to keep it close, and the Cavs respond back to extend the lead. That is one observation about the summary of this quarter. Every time the Lakers rally, the Cavs remain firm and build the lead back up. If anything, the Cavs' performance from beyond the arc is what's giving them the edge and that edge still remains heading into the 4th quarter.

This is what this game's all about: Kobe vs. LeBron. Throughout this first half, they're giving everything they got. LeBron with his freakish athleticism and power dunks, Kobe with his post up game, footwork, and fadeaway jumper, the two MVPs are turning back the clock in their final meeting. Onto the halftime report.

Kobe Bryant is pulling everything out of his arsenal for this one last battle against LeBron James. He's off to a good start, accounting for 8 of the Lakers' points and even pulled out some vintage moves, faking out the King himself for an easy layup. It's a competitive game so far even though the Lakers dug themselves a huge hole when Channing Frye got hot for the Cavs, but they've responded well to stay afloat and stay within striking distance of the Cavs' lead.
