Rookie, D'Angelo Russell had his best all-around game of the season (well, if you can call it that since the numbers don't look that impressive) as he was the Lakers' top performer, notching a near triple-double of 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists, but that stat line pales in comparison to his counterpart, Damian Lillard as Lillard's 30 point and 13 assist performance helped the Blazers pull away from the Lakers 107-93. Julius Randle notched another double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds, Jordan Clarkson added 19 points, and Kobe Bryant added 18 points to round out the starters. Lou Williams lead all scorers off the bench with 14 points. Things don't get easier as the Lakers have a daunting matchup on the road in a prime time Tuesday night against the 15-0, defending champion, Warriors.
