Lakers Fall to Hornets Late, Tank Keeps on Rolling

*Stats courtesy of NBA.com and Yahoo Sports*

The Lakers were up 82-88 at this point of the game, then somewhere in that 4th, they realized that if they win, they mar their odds of a top pick in the draft. But, at this point, we just want to see the young players grow and keep the game close. We got our wish here tonight. To paraphrase a famous quote in Forrest Gump, Julius Randle is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get from him. Randle had quite a game tonight, leading the Lakers with another double-double of 23 points and 18 rebounds to go with 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. Overall, he stuffed the stats sheet in the Lakers' 104-109 loss to the Hornets. D'Angelo Russell had a near double-double, racking up 23 points and 9 assists, but some of our own kind will continue to say "trade Russell!" Nick Young added 15 points and Tarik Black had a solid, surprising performance with 11 points to round out the starters. I'm seeing a little more consistency off the bench from Clarkson after the Lakers dealt Lou Williams as he once lead all scorers with 16 points off the bench.

Final Score: vs. Charlotte 104-109 [L]
