It looks like Reggie McKenzie "went to Jared." The Raiders have agreed to sign former Packers Tight End, Jared Cook. Contract details have yet to be revealed and they're in the process of making it official.
This move was bound to happen when Cook scheduled a visit with the Raiders. So far, the Raiders are attacking free agency by addressing the offensive end of the field. They fortified the O-line more by signing Marshall Newhouse from the Giants. Then they followed up with Cordarrelle Patterson and now, Jared Cook. More weapons for Derek Carr and the offense. Cook had his writing on the wall when the Packers signed Martellus Bennett. In exchange, the addition of Jared Cook denotes that the writing is on the wall for Mychal Rivera. Rivera is an unrestricted free agent and the Raiders decided to go for an upgrade. Lee Smith, Clive Walford, and Jared Cook should form a very solid Tight End corps.
Contract Details: 2 years, $12.2 million <= Quite a hefty price for a team-friendly deal, but it could ultimately be an incentive-based deal with the way Reggie's putting these contracts together.
