Before I make any comments about the game, I just wanted to wish a belated Happy Thanksgiving to Laker Nation. Hope you enjoyed time with your family and feasted the night away with lots of stuffing. Now onto this game. We've all hyped this up as Lonzo Ball vs. De'Aaron Fox on the NBA stage. Considering I didn't get to see the whole game, Fox and Ball didn't have a lot of one-on-one matchups against each other. Mostly, the defense on Fox was delegated to either Kyle Kuzma or KCP. Nonetheless based on the stats sheet, Ball overall bested Fox besides scoring, but a lot of people will point to the W of the Kings. This game was mostly the Zach Randolph and Willie Cauley-Stein show for Sacramento. When the Kings switched to their bench lineup lead by WCS, that's when they started to run away with this game for a bit. It wasn't just Cauley-Stein's 26-point explosion, but guys like Bogdanovic, Buddy Hield, and Frank Mason III fired from all cylinders. Zach Randolph abused Brook Lopez on the offensive end of the ball. There were like 5-6 highlight plays in the video where Z-Bo took Brook to school with his footwork inside the post. Lopez has been held in check to four points during this game. He also was held to 4 points against Chicago. He's obviously in a funk right now, especially he can't hit his 3-point shot. The Lakers made it close down the stretch in the 3rd quarter, trailing as little as seven points. They made a run again when Lonzo drained two consecutive three pointers, which is an encouraging sign. But, they fell just short. As mentioned, Z-Bo went off. WCS went off. Sacramento's 2nd unit was tough to slow down during this game.
