Same story for the Lakers during this Grammy road trip, they stay competitive, hang around, but at the end of the day, they fall short. The Lakers finish their Grammy road trip with a 2-5 record. Stay tuned for the full recap.
3rd Quarter:
Score: LAL 81 NYK 83
Jodie Meeks heated up this quarter. Basically our only 3 point threat this game as he's shooting 6-8 beyond the arc. A lot of bad transition D this quarter and it turned into a 3 point shootout. We're lucky enough to be down by 2.
2nd Quarter:
Score: LAL 47 NYK 51
Melo's starting to find the range. Credit where it is due, the Knicks responded back from the Lakers' late surge last quarter. We'll live with the four point deficit at the half. Onto the report.
1st Quarter:
Score: LAL 25 NYK 22
Nice surge late in the first quarter. First time seeing Manny Harris in action and he's contributing early. Pau Gasol having 8 quick points in the quarter, he's finding his shot. We'll live with Melo going off, but we gotta contain the other Knick players and we're doing it so far generating a couple of turnovers. Wesley Johnson also with 2 sweet fastbreak dunks this quarter, he should be a dunk contest nominee. Good quarter, hopefully the Lakers keep it up.
