Short-handed Lakers Help Mavs End Home Losing Streak
The Lakers couldn't catch a break with a depleted, injury-ridden roster. Jodie Meeks was the Lakers' top performer this game with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists and played the most minutes out of the entire roster with 41 minutes, but the Lakers couldn't overcome their depleted status as the Mavs took advantage of the Lakers' short roster under Dirk Nowitzki's 27 point and 7 rebound performance to beat the Lakers 97-110 ending a home victory drought. Kendall Marshall added 18 points on 7-10 shooting, Wesley Johnson added 17 points, and Pau Gasol recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Miscellaneous, Nick Young, constantly putting up double-figure point performances off the bench, that streak came to an end as he was just held to only 2 points, understandably he left the game due to a back injury causing the Lakers more problems with no roster depth to cover the injuries.
