12/25: X-Mas Matchup LAKERS vs. Miami Heat Q-by-Q Reaction
4th Quarter:
Score: MIA 101 LAL 95
Not a bad effort. The Lakers played their hearts out this game, but it just wasn't enough to overcome the firepower of Miami's big 3. Merry Christmas and stay tuned for the full recap.
3rd Quarter:
Score: MIA 76 LAL 73
It's been a game of runs. This Heat team has been known to slack off thinking the opposite team is gonna wave the white flag after putting a barrage of points and generating turnovers, but they're letting the Lakers hang around and the Lakers have taken the advantage of every opportunity this quarter. As I said in my halftime post, Nick Young has to calm down and find his confidence in the 2nd half and Swaggy P has come alive at the right time.
2nd Quarter:
Score: MIA 51 LAL 46
A little run to spark heading into the locker room, but it doesn't erase how ice cold the Lakers were the whole quarter. Looks like Miami quit toying around and turned up the Heat, although as an NBA fan, that backboard lob from D-Wade to LeBron looked nice, no doubt, the highlight of this game regardless. Onto the halftime report.
1st Quarter:
Score: MIA 21 LAL 27
Merry Christmas everyone! A lot expected the Heat to steam roll the Lakers in the 1st quarter, but I liked the way how the Lakers competed. Sure they allowed dunks by LeBron and D Wade, but they go on a 10-0 run near the end of the quarter before Miami responded with 2 shots to narrow this lead to a 6 point game. Lakers just gotta keep their heads up and compete because there are 3 more quarters to go climbing this steep mountain.
