RAIDERS vs. Chiefs Halftime Post

Score: KC 35 OAK 17

Alright welcome in to your halftime report of the Chiefs-Raiders game where the Chiefs right now are dominating the Raiders 35-17.

Complete trainwreck, that's all I can say. Let's go with the positives right now, Rashad Jennings, welcome back. Jennings had 13 carries for 45 yards for 2 1-yard TD runs. If you're a fantasy owner who has Jennings started like I do (on two of my teams) he's giving some serviceable points with this performance. It doesn't look like much, but Jennings like Michael Bush before him can plow his way into the end zone on short yardage situations. Rod Streater and Marcel Reece are also positives, Streater had 3 receptions for 54 yards and Marcel Reece had 3 carries on 10 yards, 1 reception for a big 45 yard gain in the opening drive, and had 1 pass completion on a punt fake to Chimdi Chekwa.

Onto the negatives, a lot of negatives in this half. Is there a QB controversy? Apparently so as neither McGloin or Pryor are proving to be the answer. McGloin completed a whopping 8 of 22 for 151 yards and threw 2 picks and Pryor played one snap, but was stopped for a no gain. No team in the NFL is complete without a true franchise quarterback, with the way Pryor and McGloin played down the stretch in their several starts, none of them prove viable. Not hating, Pryor is a great athlete and Al's last pick, McGloin is a great underdog story, but depending on these last 3 games, the search for a franchise QB begins. Defense is another negative, can't cover a simple screen pass, which is why the Raiders couldn't find an answer for Jamaal Charles, because Charles had 6 carries for 16 yards for 1 TD, but had 6 receptions for 116 yards on 3 TDs.

Overall, just an awful 1st half. If Dennis Allen wants anything to save his job, he needs to have the team put up a good fight this game and the last two divisional games against the Chargers and Broncos respectively.
