Lakers Suffer 2nd Loss With Kobe Back vs. Suns

Even with Kobe Bryant back in the lineup, the Lakers are in a bit of a slump the last two games since his return. Pau Gasol was the Lakers' top performer with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, even though the Lakers put up a better, balanced effort this game, it still wasn't enough to overcome a young Phoenix Suns team lead by a 31 point barrage by Goran Dragic and another 22 points from Marcus Morris as they got the best of the Lakers this game 114-108. Kobe Bryant, showed signs of life in his 2nd game, scoring 20 points on 6-11 shooting (I did see his first dunk back this game from a friend who uploaded it). Jodie Meeks added 13 points, playing the 3 position over Wesley Johnson. The bench did what it did best, bringing energy and scoring lead by Jordan Hill and Nick Young who both scored 13 points and Xavier Henry, finishing with 12 points.

A 2nd loss against a winnable team hurts. It's not going to get any better because the Lakers have OKC on the road Friday. Lakers are going to have to scratch and claw their way out of December because they have a four game road trip, against Minnesota next Friday, Golden State on the road, and the Christmas game against Miami.

Final Score: vs. Phoenix 114-108 [L]
