11/01: LA vs. The Bay '14 Part I LAKERS @ Golden State Warriors Q-by-Q Reaction

Q4:

Score: LAL 104 GS 127

Game was pretty much over when Klay Thompson started torching us like mid-quarter. Credit where it's due, the Splash Brothers have been unstoppable this game and they've single-handily killed the Lakers this game. Stay tuned for the full recap.

Q3:

Score: LAL 86 GS 93

Kobe, Kobe, and even more Kobe. In my halftime post, I said it looks like Kobe is trying to struggle with his shot, well this quarter, he's working hard to get that jump shot back that made him so deadly throughout his 19 years in the NBA. This quarter was like a handicap match with the Mamba going against the Splash Brothers and whenever Kobe starts to will the Lakers, Thompson and Curry storm right back and that's why the Warriors have a 7 point lead.

Q2:

Score: LAL 55 GS 61

A couple of sloppy plays down the stretch the Lakers committed and the Warriors cashed in on fast break/transition points. Luckily enough, the Lakers offense still rolled and the 2-3 zone defense Byron Scott implemented kept them in the game. Onto the halftime report.

Q1:

Score: LAL 35 GS 29

A much better display on offense for the Lakers after having anemic starts for the first three games. I was afraid that due to a back-to-back game, they would come out sluggish yet again after spending all that energy in a competitive game vs. the Clippers. Jordan Hill is picking up where he left off as he is the only player in double figures. Wesley Johnson, I've been harsh on him the last two posts, but he has come out of the gate also so far and contributing to the Lakers' 6 point lead.
