Q4:
Score: SA 93 LAL 80
The Spurs are just too damn good. Lakers gave them a run for their money in the first three quarters, then in the 4th quarter, the Spurs turned it up and started playing how defending champs should play. They are just too damn good. Stay tuned for the full recap.
Q3:
Score: SA 68 LAL 57
Kobe 0-10, man definitely not his night as a scorer, but pushing the right buttons as a facilitator. The Lakers are hanging around and Boozer had a big part in that being the only Laker in double figures right now and keeping this team afloat. The Spurs though, they do what they do best and that is to respond to a run the Lakers make to crack at an opportunity to get back in the game as expected of the defending champs.
Q2:
Score: SA 47 LAL 35
The Lakers are starting to beat themselves out there this quarter. I left out another negative that the Lakers are not finishing plays and that's one of the reasons why they're down 12. Defense started clamping down a bit and the turnovers started to became killers for every Laker possession. Onto the halftime post.
Q1:
Score: SA 29 LAL 22
Thanks for the freebie points Danny Green. Low scoring margin at the end of the quarter mainly because of the defensive activity both these teams are displaying. I like the defensive activity the Lakers came out of the game with. To slow this Spurs' offense, they had to play good and disciplined defense. As for the offense though, they have to play at the Spurs game by making the extra pass. There were 2 plays where Kobe made nice cuts, but the extra pass was too late.
