Lakers' Streak Against East Teams Snapped vs. Wizards
Just trying to play catch up here. The Lakers' streak against the East Coast teams is over. Kobe Bryant was the Lakers' top performer Wednesday night, tallying 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, but the Eastern Conference at some point in time was going to give the Lakers a tough test as the Wizards just did that as Bradley Beal's 27 point performance and Marcin Gortat's 21 points performance powered the Wizards past the Lakers 95-111. Hey, at least we didn't give the Sixers their first win. Carlos Boozer was the other starter besides Kobe with double figures racking up 10 points on 5-9 shooting. Nick Young came off the bench scoring 21 points against his former team and Ronnie Price was the 2nd leading scorer with 11 points. The Lakers stay in the East Coast as they play their NBA Finals arch-enemy, Celtics in Boston today.
*ANNOUNCEMENT: After I post the quick recap of the Lakers-Celtics game, I will post up the special 49ers-Raiders Smack Talk post in collaboration with Bleach Zealot blogger, Stillmattic. Stay tuned.*
