Week 15: RAIDERS @ Kansas City Chiefs Q-by-Q Reaction

Q4:

Score: OAK 13 KC 31

Leave it to garbage time points to make the score misleading as it should be. It has been the story at this point of the season. Once the Raiders get a win, they come crashing back down in a blowout loss. Stay tuned for the full recap.

Q3:

Score: OAK 6 KC 31

From a tightly contested game to a rout. Yup, haven't seen that one before. The good news is that probably we'll reclaim that top pick in the draft and hold Marcus Mariotta hostage for any team that wants to trade the farm for him. Overall, just a bad quarter for the Raiders, nothing else to say.

Q2:

Score: OAK 3 KC 10

Solid drive by Carr, despite being hampered by a leg injury (he looks fine though). 2 minute drill set up a Sebastian Janikowski field goal to cut the Chiefs lead into a TD lead. Onto the halftime report.

Q1:

Score: OAK 0 KC 7

And now you know why are special teams are not so special all season long. Not a single kickoff return for a TD, not a single punt return for a TD, bad coverage and this was evident when De'Anthony Thomas took a booming punt from Marquette King all the way to the house. Both teams started off strong defensively with 3 and outs, although the Chiefs were hampered by penalties early on, but that punt return TD was a huge momentum swing for the Chiefs.
